System Tools

Startup Control Panel
Startup Control Panel is a nifty control panel applet that allows you to easily configure which programs run when your computer starts. It's simple to use and, like all my programs, is very small and won't burden your system. A valuable tool for system administrators! Startup Control Panel is compatible with all modern versions of Windows, including Windows 95, 98, 98SE, ME, NT 4.0, 2000, and XP.

MRU-Blaster MRU-Blaster is a program made to do one large task - detect and clean MRU (most recently used) lists on your computer.  These MRU lists contain information such as the names and/or locations of the last files you have accessed. They are located ALL OVER your registry, and for almost ANY file type. By looking at these MRU lists, someone could determine what files you opened/saved/looked at, what their file names were, and much more! (And, in many cases, the lists are displayed in drop-down menus automatically.) With additional plug-ins that allow you to clean out your Temporary Internet Files and Cookies, MRU-Blaster enhances the protection of your privacy!

LanSpy is network security scanner, which allows getting different information about computer: Domain and NetBios names, MAC address, Server information, Domain and Domain controller information, Remote control, Time, Discs, Transports, Users, Global and local users groups, Policy settings, Shared resources, Sessions, Open files, Services, Registry and Event log information.

PingPlotter Freeware  PingPlotter Freeware is a high performance, low-overhead traceroute application. It allows you to quickly "trace" the route between you and a target of your choice (a web site, Voice over IP provider, online game server, or similar target), and then continue to collect performance metrics about that route. Packet loss and latency numbers are available within seconds, and the results are displayed in a graphical format, in addition to text values. This allows you to quickly see if the final destination is performing as you expect, and if it's not, you can see which hop is causing the problems. Once you find a problem, you can copy the text or image you've collected to your clipboard, and then paste it into an email to report the problem to someone who can help you solve it. PingPlotter Freeware is completely free. You can download it and use it without charge. Requires Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT4, Windows 2000, Windows XP (including SP2), Windows 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 2008
