Full Website Design
A full website design is generally what I do starting from scratch. The cost of a website will vary significantly depending on the scope of the project. A basic website project, including reserving a domain name, acquiring a hosting service and designing a basic web site consisting of 5-10 pages of content, will generally cost €1800-€2400. This price includes the design, a contact form, 5-10 additional pages of content, and a 1-year reservation of a domain and web hosting. A reasonable estimate for original web design is €250/page for the first five pages. For sites under 50 pages, the cost will drop significantly after those first five pages, as the majority of the cost lies in the original design. Please bearin mind that a new website will take 3 to 6 months to be fully findable by everyone, this relies on content being added to on a regular basis.

Attention to principles of universal design
As special features, custom programming, and more complex navigational schemes are introduced, prices rise as well. For this reason, all projects require a detailed plan describing the scope of the project.

I have extensive expertise in taking your company brochure and converting it to a website design using colours and photograghs from your brochure, being accessible for your prospective customers.

Update and redesign of existing websites
All site redesigns must be negotiated individually. If you only want to keep the content of the site with a completely new design this will be considered a new design, as above. It is usually more difficult and time consuming to apply web accessibility to an existing design than to start from scratch.
 
Develop your website from an existing design
Already have a talented graphic designer in mind or on staff? That's fine — I can work with your designer to realise your website in an accessible and search-engine friendly manner. I may require minor changes in the design in order to maximize search engine effectiveness or accessibility, but that's not a problem. Pricing for development contracts will be quoted individually, but is usually about 2/3 the cost of a full design and development project.

Web Accessibility Consulting
Need advice on how to update your existing site into an accessible or standards based platform? My current consulting rates for this kind of advice and labour are €100/hr. An average review takes anywhere from 5 to 20 hours to complete, depending on the size of the site, the scope of media formats used, and the type of problems encountered. This includes a comprehensive written review of accessibility issues for your site with suggestions for the means to correct them.

Search Engine Optimization Consulting
I provide consulting services to examine your current website and provide a detailed report on the issues you need to deal with in order to achieve top search engine rankings. I'll address a wide array of technical issues as well as problems with content and keywords use. My SEO consulting rates are €100/hr. A full report usually requires between 8 and 10 hours to prepare. Very large websites may require a greater investment of time in order to provide a thorough report.

I specialise in developing search-engine friendly websites. The principle focus of your report will be on technical issues and barriers to search engine optimization best practice. Optimization itself is a long-term process, and is beyond the scope of the report I provide. I will, however, provide you with many tips on what kinds of things you should do to prepare for search engine optimization.

This kind of consulting is highly effective during a web site redesign, where I can work with your designer or development team to make sure each aspect of the site is developed in the best possible way.
